Halton Regional Police have charged a young woman with human trafficking in a case involving a teenaged girl.

The arrest was made this week, during a “two-day blitz” on Jan. 22 and 23, when Halton cops met with over 20 sex trade workers in Halton region hotels, according to a police statement.

Det.-Const. Martin Dick said the blitz was part of a nation-wide operation.

The investigation led them to a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly “being exploited in the sex trade,” he said.
