TORONTO -- Two of Mayor Rob Ford's former football players brutally beat a west-end man in a 2011 home invasion robbery, QMI Agency has learned.

Aedan Petros and Rexford Williams are named in a lawsuit that alleges Scott MacIntyre, the former common-in-law spouse of Ford's sister, Kathy, was viciously assaulted in jail in 2012 in a plot orchestrated by the mayor to muzzle MacIntyre from exposing his drug use and association with criminals.

Petros and other inmates are alleged to have inflicted catastrophic leg injuries upon MacIntyre, who also suffered facial cuts and had several teeth sheared off at the gum-line, in the attack outside the Metro West Detention Centre's shower facilities, the $1.5-million lawsuit launched Wednesday claimed.
