TORONTO -- Toronto Police have released video from a sexual assault last fall to try to drum up tips.
“When you watch the video, it’s pretty clear who it could be,” Const. Victor Kwong said Thursday.
“If you knew these people, you would know, you would recognize them.”
On Sept. 22, a woman was sitting on steps in the Dundas St. E.-Sherbourne St. area between 4 and 5 a.m. when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her, police said.
A second man approached her almost immediately, also sexually assaulting her.
The security camera footage police released has been edited to exclude any images of the victim. Kwong said the video shows the two suspects before and after the consecutive sexual assaults.
One male is described as white with short brown hair. He was dressed in baggy blue jeans, dark shoes, and a black or blue hooded sweatshirt with a large Under Armour logo on the chest.
The second male is also white, with short shaved brown hair. He had on a grey hooded sweatshirt with a front zipper, a golf T-shirt with horizontal stripes, jeans, and dark shoes with white trim. He was carrying a red or orange ‘cinch’ bag.
