A love triangle led to a suspected triple murder/attempted suicide south of Quebec City on Saturday, sources tell QMI Agency.

Martin Godin, 54, was in critical condition Monday and his daughter, estranged wife and her new boyfriend are dead.

The family drama happened Saturday evening in two homes south of Quebec City.

Police found Godin near death inside his house in Saint-Isidore-de-Beauce, with his 13- and 11-year-old daughters lying on the floor nearby.

Police confirmed Medora Godin, 13, died.

Her sister Beatrice, 11, remained in critical condition in hospital Monday and Godin is considered the main suspect in the case, sources tell QMI Agency.

Sources also said the victims were shot.
