TORONTO — Toronto police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found handcuffed and nearly beaten to death early Tuesday.

The man was "barely conscious" when he was found at an address on Milliken Blvd., near Kennedy Rd. and Finch Ave., just after 3 a.m., Const. Victor Kwong said.

"Police dogs were able to track the crime scene to another address on Milliken," Kwong said, but would not give the specific location out as police have not yet identified the victim. "We're not sure if this happened at the guy's home or not."

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was suffering from life-threatening head injuries and was rushed to hospital where he underwent surgery.

Police are reviewing surveillance video from cameras in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-4200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
