CALGARY -- The slaying of University of Calgary student Brett Wiese was a revenge-motivated killing orchestrated by a teenage girl angered at being tossed from a house party, court heard Monday.

In detailing the case she intends to present against the accused murderer, Crown attorney Carla MacPhail said the then-17-year-old girl planned the deadly attack.

MacPhail told Justice Charlene Anderson the girl was an uninvited guest at a Brisebois Dr. N.W. residence and became enraged when told to leave.

MacPhail said the teen and others got into a physical altercation on the lawn of the home with resident Brett Butler.

After Butler had his shirt ripped off him, the accused insisted he give her his full name.
