TORONTO — Toronto Police are on the hunt for a gunman after a shooting at York University late Thursday.

One woman was reportedly shot and another injured by debris that fell as a result of the shooting around 10:45 p.m. in the food court of the student centre.

Neither injuries are considered life threatening.

The suspect fled the building. Police have not released a description.

According to a social media post, a witness described the shooter as female.

Another witness took to Twitter to describe the scene.

"Saw bullet holes in the chairs an a bunch of cops in the student centre," @TamicaMarcano wrote in a post.
