Mastermind of $35M Ponzi scheme released after 4 years

Earl Jones, the man behind one of Canada's biggest Ponzi schemes, was released Thursday after serving four years behind bars.

A corrections official told QMI Agency that Jones was released from Saint-Anne-des-Plaines penitentiary north of Montreal.

He had served four years of an 11-year sentence after pleading guilty to bilking 158 people of up to $35 million.
