OTTAWA - Police are investigating after a shot was fired through a home near St. Laurent Centre early Monday.

At about 2:30 a.m., police responded to several calls of gunshots in the area of Prince Albert St. and St. Laurent Blvd. One shot was fired into a home in the 400-block of Prince Albert St.

Police do not believe this is connected to a nearby shooting on Thursday night along St. Laurent Blvd.

No one was injured and there are no suspect descriptions so far.

It marks the seventh shooting in the city this year, and the third shooting in less than a week.

The Ottawa police Guns and Gangs section is leading the investigation.
