TORONTO -- A man sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl and infected her with the HIV virus, according to York Regional Police.
Police said officers found out about the alleged sexual assault while investigating accusations that an 18-year-old woman was attacked with a weapon and the subject of death threats.
Police alleged an HIV-positive man had unprotected sex with a 15-year-old girl in October 2011 and infected her with the virus.
Police wouldn't reveal where the alleged sexualassault took place, other than to say at a "residence" in York Region, north of Toronto.
When asked if the suspect and victims knew each other, police spokesman Andy Pattenden said "there is a possibility in that."
