TORONTO — A Toronto man has been sentenced to 14 years in jail for his role in a 2012 block party shooting that killed two people, including a 14-year-old girl.

Alleged Galloway Boys gang member Nahom Tsegazab pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter and six of aggravated assault in the 2012 Danzig St. block party gunfight.

Tsegazab, 20, was the organizer of the “Henny-Blocko” party at the D-Block public housing complex on July 16, 2012, when he was warned that someone was threatening to come “shoot up the party,” according to an agreed statement of facts.

Tsegazab admitted that he armed himself with a .40-calibre semi-automatic gun that night and at 10:40 p.m., shot back at a gunman who hit him with two bullets.
