MONTREAL — Eric Grenier, a Quebec porn entrepreneur and associate of the Hells Angels, pleaded guilty late last month to conspiracy to import cocaine in New York state.
The businessman from Mirabel, Que., was dubbed the Hugh Hefner of Quebec back when his empire included a magazine, a strip club and a co-starring role on a racy TV show.
Interpol arrested him in Peru on Nov. 20, 2012, at the request of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Grenier, 42, was held in a Peruvian prison until his extradition to the U.S. last fall.
Authorities claimed Grenier went by the last name Singer while trying to set up a deal for 5 kg of cocaine in the U.S. between Oct. 10 and 28, 2011.
Grenier originally pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court in New York, but changed his plea on March 26.
The former porn king will remain in prison in New York until he's sentenced.
