Puppies stolen at knifepoint

SIMCOE, Ont. — Police are looking for a man and a woman who robbed a woman of her two pomeranian puppies at knifepoint at her Brant County, Ont., home Friday afternoon.

Ontario Provincial Police say the pair came to the victim’s home between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. after answering an Internet ad saying the dogs were for sale.

The pair brandished an edged weapon. The woman was assaulted during the robbery and suffered minor injuries, police said.

The man and woman fled to a car on the roadway and drove away.

The puppies, a male and female, are eight to 10 weeks old and cream coloured.

The man is described between 20 and 30 years old and 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 with olive or light brown skin, a stocky build, a round face, dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing dark clothes.

The woman described as white and about 5-foot-4 with a slim build, long blond hair in a ponytail and a slim face. She was wearing a yellow top, dark pants and dark shoe-boots.

The vehicle is described as an older, small white vehicle.
