OTTAWA — Toronto cops are asking an allegedly violent and crack-addicted accused kidnapper to turn herself in to Ottawa police.

Det. Graeme Naidoo said he believes Elanna Marki, 40, is on the lam and being harboured by friends in the Prince of Wales and Meadowlands area of Ottawa.

Marki, of Toronto, is being sought after a woman was kidnapped and repeatedly beaten in two different Toronto locations in mid-December.

John Brown, 44, of Pickering, Ont., is also being sought in the same case, but he's believed to be hiding out somewhere in Toronto.

Naidoo said Marki is not likely to be armed, but is wanted for "very violent offences."

"She has friends and associates in Ottawa," Naidoo said.

On Friday, he received information that Marki was using OC Transpo to get around the city in preparation for a trip to Thunder Bay, Ont., and then onto either Vancouver — where she has family — or Halifax, where Carvery has associates.
