A realtor charge with the attempted murder of his wife and daughter will remain behind bars for at least the next three days.

Labib Khawas, 55, allegedly cut off his daughter's finger during a gruesome attack Sunday at the family's tony Links Dr. home, near Ashton.

The Crown got a three-day detention order from a justice of the peace Monday so that police can conduct "further investigation."

Reports have suggested a possible honour-related motive for the attack, but defence lawyers have thus far received no information to that effect.
