Third man wanted in kitten killing home invasion

BRANTFORD, Ont. -- City police are looking for a third man in a May 17 home invasion in which two women were assaulted and two kittens were stomped to death.

Keith Alfred Berkeley, 28, of West Street, is wanted on charges of break and enter with intent, assault and failing to comply with a recognizance.

The home invasion took place at about 2:30 a.m. when three men forced their way into an Eagle Avenue residence.

Two women inside the home were punched and two kittens were killed.

Police have already charged two Brantford men.

Justin Cole Webber, 27, of Henry Street, is charged with two counts of killing an animal, break and enter with intent, assault and breach of probation.

James Bruce Carpenter, 29, of Sarah Street, is charged with break and enter with intent, mischief under $5,000 mischief interfere with lawful use of probably, assaulting a police officer, assault with intent to resist arrest, obstruct a police office and cause a disturbance.
