MONTREAL - A woman who allegedly caused a deadly highway collision while helping a family of ducks didn't even put on her hazard lights, a witness testified Tuesday.

Two motorcyclists died when they collided with Emma Czornobaj's car near Montreal in June 2010.

Witness Martine Tessier testified she was driving near Candiac, Que. when she saw a car parked in the left lane.

"I saw a lady gesturing with her hands towards the ground, where I saw a family of ducks," said Tessier.

"(I thought) what is she doing? She'll be killed."

Tessier swerved and just missed Czornobaj's car.

Moments later, Andre Roy, 50, and his daughter Jessie, 16, crashed their Harley-Davidson into the vehicle and were hurtled into the air. They died on impact.

"I saw a body go over the car like a rag doll," the witness told a jury.

Czornobaj is charged with dangerous driving and criminal negligence causing death.
