A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for two violent sex attacks that occurred in Brampton last month, Peel Regional Police said Saturday.

The two victims, both adult women, were sexually assaulted a couple of weeks apart on a greenbelt pathway that runs between Queen Mary Dr. and McLaughlin Rd., police said

In the first incident, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly attacked by a stranger as she walked along the path around 4 p.m. on May 13.

Fifteen days later, a 22-year-old woman was walking along the path around 4 p.m. when she was attacked by a stranger.

In both cases, the women put up a struggle and the attacker ran away, police said.

Members of the Peel’s special victims unit took the accused teen into custody Saturday.

The boy, who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of forcible confinement and one count of uttering threats.
