Man sought in apparent hit surrenders to police

A 24-year-old Toronto man wanted for the Friday evening murder of a man and seriously wounding of another surrendered to police Sunday.

David Odesho now faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder. He’s to appear in Newmarket court Monday morning.

Investigators are still looking for a white 2011 Mazda 3 with Ontario licence plate BRFS 153.

Sarhad Sadiq, 36, of Nobleton, was shot dead in an apparent hit at a cafe at an industrial mall on Woodstream Blvd., in the Highway 7 and Martin Grove Rd. area, at around 6:45 p.m. Friday.
