New reward for 'Vaulter Bandit'

Investigators are hoping a reward will help to nab a bank robber who has hit more than a dozen financial institutions across Canada.

Toronto Police will hold a news conference Wednesday to announce the reward now being offered by the Canadian Bankers Association in an effort to track down a bandit, dubbed the Vaulter, who is believed to be responsible for at least 18 bank heists dating back several years.

Staff-Insp. Mike Earl says the Vaulter has hit banks in York Region, Hamilton, Mississauga, Toronto, Ottawa, and Calgary. The news conference will be begin at 10:30 a.m.
