There’s a zap for that.

Mounties in Hinton, Alta. say a pair of stun guns seized in that community over the past week were disguised as iPhones.

RCMP were first tipped off to an online ad posted by someone attempting to sell a “Conducted Energy Weapon” (CEW).

Officers seized the device, which was disguised as a black iPhone.

Less than 24 hours later, officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance outside a Hinton bar.

A search of the female suspect found that she was allegedly in possession of a CEW, also disguised as an iPhone.

Angela James, 28, is facing charges including assault with a weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.

“The charges are as a result of a “conducted energy weapon” allegedly brandished during an altercation, resulting in James’ arrest and the seizure of the weapon,” the RCMP said in a release Tuesday.

James is due in provincial court July 2.
