TORONTO - The hunt is on for a suspect after a west-end woman woke up to a stranger in her bedroom early Friday.

The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. near Royal York Rd. and Bloor St.

"She woke up, confronted the suspect who was in her room and scared him off," Toronto Police Sgt. Robert Samuels said.

For the past two summers, there have been a number of break-ins in the area. No suspect has been arrested in those cases.

"At this point, we have not made a connection to the previous home invasions, but the investigation is still in the preliminary stage," Samuels said.
