CALGARY -- The dormant Facebook account of a local teen who stopped using it because it had been hacked was used to lure teens over the Internet, court heard Monday.

In an opening address Crown attorney Aurelie Beland said evidence will show Bojan Ambrus, 33, used the account to gain the trust of two other girls whom he tried to get to perform sexual favours.

And Beland told Judge John Bascom that Ambrus even successfully got one of the two girls, who was 13 at the time, to send him nude photos.

Ambrus faces 17 charges, including procuring a minor for prostitution, making child pornography and luring a child for the purpose of committing a criminal offence.
