TORONTO - An Oshawa restaurant owner accused of placing a hidden camera in her eatery’s employee washroom is a strict boss “obsessed” with cleanliness and “running things,” people who know her say.

Danay Krenner, 39, was arrested and charged along with her co-owner husband, Krisztian Krenner, 42, with voyeurism and other offences after Durham Regional Police executed a search at the couple’s Danay and Kris Family Restaurant in the Bloor St. N. and Simcoe St. S. area. Police said they received a call on Monday from an employee about a hidden camera spotted in the ceiling of the employee washroom.

When regular Ruth Martin, 66, showed up at the eatery to have lunch Wednesday, the small restaurant was locked tight.

Martin was shocked to hear of the charges the Krenners now face.
