OTTAWA -- A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a sexual assault suspect who took off from an Ottawa halfway house and hasn't shown up for court appearances.

Jessie Levi Blake was charged after a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Ottawa in 2012. He faces sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, fail to appear in court and breach of recognizance charges.

He was staying at a "transition house" while his case made its way through court, but police have discovered he left the home and is believed to be on the lam.

"He's missing and considered a transient person," said Const. Chuck Benoit. "There's a chance he has left Ottawa."

It's not known how many court appearances he's missed or how long Blake has been missing.
