An alleged member of the United Nations gang wanted for two murders in B.C. has been arrested in Mexico and returned to Canada.

Cory Vallee, 37, was arrested Aug. 13 in Guadalajara after four years of evading police.

Vallee is accused of killing Jonathan Barber, 24, of Burnaby on May 9, 2008, when Barber was driving a Porsche Cayenne belonging to a member of the rival gang, the Red Scorpions. Barber's girlfriend, Vicky King, was also shot at the time.

Barber had the car so he could install a stereo. Police said the couple were innocent victims.

It's also alleged he killed Kevin LeClair, 27, who was shot Feb. 6, 2009, at the Walnut Grove shopping mall in Langley, B.C.

Vallee appeared in a B.C. court Monday and will return again Aug. 21, police said.
