Police in P.E.I. have charged a man with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of a father and his adult son in the town of Montague Wednesday.

Police set up roadblocks in a rural area south of the town Wednesday night in an effort to track down the suspect, the Charlottetown Guardian reported.

A local resident told the newspaper that the father and son, who police have yet to name, were found shot to death at the father's home around 9 p.m.

RCMP said a man was arrested at 7:40 a.m. Thursday in the town on the eastern part of the island.

Alfred Guy Vuozzo, 46, faces two counts of first-degree murder and appeared before a justice of the peace in Georgetown, P.E.I., Thursday night.

Vuozzo will remain in custody until his scheduled court appearance next week.
