Police have arrested four individuals in connection to the illegal importation of nearly 40 kilos of cocaine.
The investigation began earlier this month when Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) caught a shipment of 37.5 kilograms of concealed cocaine at Toronto Pearson International Airport—originating from a shipment from Panama. The drug was inside several shipments and was hidden inside machinery.
On Aug. 7, police arrested a man and a woman in an apartment complex on Burnhamthorpe Rd. West and Confederation Rd. in Mississauga. On August 20, police made two further arrests of males in Mississauga and Milton.
