EDMONTON -- Two men are dead following a rollover in Edmonton, Alta., on Sunday night.

A call came in around 9:45 p.m. regarding a rollover collision involving three vehicles at 95 Ave. and 151 St. Two men in their late 40s to early 50s were pronounced dead on scene.

Police say a white Crown Victoria was travelling at a high rate of speed when it blew through a stop sign, clipping an eastbound car before rolling, hitting a tree and parked vehicle.

Witnesses describe the “catastrophic” crash as sounding like an “explosion.”

There were no other injuries.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the collision.

Edmonton Police Services members were expected to be on scene until 3 a.m.
