Luka Magnotta has been sending thank you notes to the writers of fan mail he gets as he sits in a Montreal jail awaiting the Sept. 8 start of his murder trial.

Global News reports it has seen portions of letters the accused dismemberer has sent to some of the hundreds of people who write the one-time bit porn actor.

"I have beautiful photos hanging on my wall with encouraging cards from people around the world," Global reports one letter to a woman from Magnotta, 31, of Toronto, reads.

He also thanks people for their "gifts."

Globals reports that Magnotta, accused in the killing and dismemberment of Jun Lin, 33, is sent money orders to be used at the jail's canteen; has been offered clothing, including an Armani suit; and has recieved an offer of laser hair removal.

Lin's body was found in a Montreal apartment in May 2012. Magnotta was arrested in Berlin a week later.

Body parts were mailed to Conservative and Liberal offices in Ottawa, and other body parts were mailed to two Vancouver schools.

Lin, of Wuhan, China, was a Concordia University engineering student and convenience store clerk.

Magnotta is charged with first-degree murder, indignity to a human body, producing and distributing obscene material, using the postal service to distribute obscene material, and criminally harassing Prime Minister Stephen Harper and other members of Parliament.
