Ontario schools wasting money on energy: Watchdog
By Jonathan Jenkins, Queen's Park Bureau

TORONTO — Ontario could find savings in the $340 million it spends annually to power schools but isn't sharing valuable information on the topic, Environmental Commissioner Gord Miller says.

"There is great potential for savings in improving the energy efficiency of schools," Miller says in Part 2 of his annual report on energy conservation.

Savings in energy is one area that won't affect the learning environment, Miller pointed out.
