OTTAWA - The quick work of volunteer firefighters saved a family trapped in their burning car on Hwy. 417 Friday night.

The family of four was driving east  when their car crashed near the Nicholas off-ramp and caught fire around 9:30 p.m.

Three of the passengers managed to escape, but a 12-year-old child was still trapped inside the burning car.
