OTTAWA - You have to serve a lot of pints, and earn a lot of tips, to pay more than $100,000 in legal fees.

It's what Ashley White does, and does well -- judging from the treatment the server at Ralph's sports bar gets from her customers.

Even the most loyal customers rarely ascend to these heights.

Saturday afternoon -- until closing -- this "second family" she has served for nearly eight years, threw a fundraiser for White as she finally draws nearer her sentencing day.
