OTTAWA -- There's one more millionaire in Ottawa, and that person may not even know about it yet.

The $50-million Lotto Max jackpot is still up for grabs, but Friday's draw produced a local winner of a $1-million Maxmillions prize, lottery spokeswoman Sarah Kiriliuk said.

A second Ottawan will split another $1 million with someone in the Atlantic provinces, Kiriliuk said.

The winners have yet to come forward.

When the jackpot reaches its $50-million cap, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. holds Maxmillions draws for $1 million apiece, Kiriliuk said.

And this coming Friday's draw will see a record-breaking amount of cash up for grabs. There will be 45 $1-million prize draws as well as the $50 million.

That's $95 million. Not enough to pay for the G8, but still nothing to sneeze at.

Then there are those pesky odds — 1 in 28 million.

The deadline to buy tickets for Friday's draw is 9 p.m.
