EDMONTON — Cops have charged a second person for a robbery and beating last August that left a man so badly injured he remains in a medically induced coma.

The 55-year-old man was beaten the night of Aug. 28 outside the Silver Martini Bar.

A couple inside the establishment befriended him after he won a lot of money playing one of the bar's video lottery terminals.

Police say they all left the bar together and the lottery winner was beaten outside.

Troy Dustin Cardinal, 28, is charged with robbery and aggravated assault.

Earlier this year, police charged Lisa Halcrow, 32, with robbery.
