Yes, all strikes are always stupid.
No, the feds should butt out of labour negotiations.
Not yet. But if they don't reach a deal soon...

Million-dollar ticket was in the stars, doctor says
By QMI Agency

If you're quick to discount fortune tellers, you should speak with Dr. Joerg Michels.

The Vancouver doctor won a $1 million Maxmillion prize on the December 30 Lotto Max draw -- not long after a fortune teller told his wife to expect some extra cash.

"The funny thing is, my wife had seen a fortune teller a couple of months ago who told her there would be some money coming in," Michels, an oncologist at the BC Cancer Agency, told the British Columbia Lottery Corporation Tuesday. "I just had a hunch I should check this ticket."

Michels said he couldn't believe the amount when he saw it.

"That's a lot of zeros," he said.

Plans for the winnings include paying off the mortgage, saving for the children's education, and taking the family on a trip to Germany, he told BCLC.com.

Michels also plans to share with friends, and to make a large charitable donation.

"I want to remain humble -- I don't need shiny cars," he said.
