Should the Canadian Pacific strikers be legislated back to work?
Yes, all strikes are always stupid.
No, the feds should butt out of labour negotiations.
Not yet. But if they don't reach a deal soon...

Couple still waiting for Lotto jackpot

OTTAWA — A Hawkesbury, Ont., couple will have to wait at least another month to claim their $50-million lottery win.

JoAnn and Gaetan Champagne are another step closer to collecting the jackpot from a LOTTO MAX draw on Dec. 30.

Since the Champagnes worked as lottery retailers within the past year, their prize claim is subject to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Insider Wins process.

The process is almost complete, but the prize will be held for a 30-day waiting period, according to the OLG, which reviewed the claim alongside the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

If there are no additional claims on this prize, the win will be paid around the end of February.

Until October, the Champagnes owned and operated Jo’s Depanneur in Hawkesbury.
