Lotto winner to work

TORONTO — There will be a big house and monster vehicles in Timothy Schell's future now that he's $50 million richer.

When Schell, who won Friday's Lotto Max draw, arrived at his electrician job on Tuesday morning he and another colleague decided to check their tickets online.

"We both got out tickets out and I read through my numbers one by one," recalled the 34-year-old Toronto resident. "I was in total shock when my tickets matched all seven numbers. I said to my colleague, 'No way ... stuff like this doesn't happen to people like me.'"

He then went to a convenience store to double check -- and it was true.

"I'm a hot-rod man. I love fast bikes, muscle cars and big trucks. I also look forward to visiting all of the major bike and cars shows around the world," said Schell. "I'm the same guy; I'll just have more toys."

Schell, who plans to keep working, has a girlfriend and expects to get married in the near future. He also plans to help family and friends.

He joked that he expects a lot of people from his past to come out of the woodwork.

Schell bought the winning ticket at a gas station in north Toronto.
