Winning $7M ticket sold in Hamilton

It's the luck of the Hamiltonians.

For the third time in two weeks, Hamilton lottery ticket players have won big.

On Dec. 3, a woman won $50 million despite losing her ticket and on Dec. 4, a player won just over $19 million.

On Saturday, a single winning ticket from the Lotto 6/49 draw netted one lucky Hamilton resident $7,159,544.20.

Belleville is also boasting a new millionaire.

The winning ticket for the Guaranteed Prize Draw, worth $1,000,000, was sold in the Belleville region.

Also, a ticket sold in Ottawa shares in the second prize pool with winning ticket sold in Quebec. This ticket is worth $141,987.80.

And two winning Encore tickets, worth $100,000 each, were sold in London and Oakville.

Since Lotto 6/49 was launched in 1982, Ontario players have won more than $10 billion in prizes, including 1,268 jackpot wins.
