Rob Ford adds pounds in weight-loss challenge

TORONTO - Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's battle with the bulge suffered a setback Monday.

Ford stepped on the scale for his weekly Cut the Waist challenge weigh-in and found he had gained 2 lbs. over the last week.

The mayor weighed in at around 310 lbs., up from 308 lbs. last Monday, while Councillor Doug Ford lost another 2 lbs, dropping to 250 lbs.

"It's easier said than done," Mayor Ford said as he stepped on the scale.

Ford grumbled he knew his weight hadn't gone down in the last week.

"Start smoking," Councillor Frances Nunziata suggested to Ford as he bellied up to the scale.

Both Fords are trying to lose 50 lbs. each by mid-June.
