Sun News covering Quebec election debates
By Jessica Hume, Parliamentary Bureau

OTTAWA - Sun News Network is the only English broadcaster offering live coverage of Quebec election debates.

"Sun means politics and we're proud to be the exclusive English broadcaster of the Quebec leaders' debates," Dennis Matthews, marketing director at Sun News Network said. "Just like with our provincial election night specials from Manitoba and Saskatchewan, we are committed to bringing all types of Canadian political stories to Canadians from coast to coast."

Since the network first launched in April of last year, Sun News has carried exclusive coverage of both Manitoba and Saskatchewan provincial elections.

This week's broadcasts are the latest in a series of political events covered by Sun News that brings some of the most important stories to the forefront of Canadian cable news.

In partnership with Sun News Network's French-language equivalent TVA, the Quebec leaders' debates will be simultaneously translated into English.

Sun News has covered provincial elections from Alberta to Ontario and produces 96 hours of first-run Canadian news content each week.

The broadcasts take place 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET Monday through Wednesday.
