Chris Godin will trade his textbooks for a protest sign on Monday.

The 17-year-old Grade 12 student will be among a number of students expected to walk out of Westlane Secondary School on Monday to protest the current dispute between the provincial government and the teachers' union.

Godin says the students want to express their frustration with the ongoing labour dispute between public school teachers and the province which they say is impacting them the most.
