Federal worker loses personal data of 5,000 Canadians

An electronic storage device containing the personal information of about 5,000 Canadians has gone missing at the federal department responsible for pensions and employment programs, QMI Agency has learned.

An employee with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada lost a USB key containing social insurance numbers, medical records and other information.
