Mayor Rob Ford just doesn’t understand the opposition to putting a casino in Toronto.

“I’ve been very clear. This can create 10,000 good paying jobs. I don’t know how people can say no to that,” Ford said Monday night at the Etobicoke Olympium Gymnasium where hundreds of residents came out for a Toronto casino consultation session.

“We are here to have a proper consultation. I want to listen to what people have to say and we will see what happens at council.”

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. wants a casino in Toronto and city hall staff are looking at locations that include the downtown, Port Lands, Exhibition Place and Woodbine.
