TORONTO - Mayor Rob Ford's temporary budget chief is all in the family.

Councillor Doug Ford, who is vice-chairman of the budget committee, will be the acting budget chief until Ford's executive committee names a replacement for Councillor Mike Del Grande.

Del Grande quit as budget chief Wednesday just after council approved the 2013 budget.

Mayor Ford has yet to name a replacement for Del Grande - who his executive committee reappointed as budget chief for another two years earlier this month. Ford's spokesman said the next budget chief will be named in "due course."

Councillor Ford - who was re-elected as budget committee vice-chairman for another two years Friday - said he doesn't want to be the city's next budget chief.
