TORONTO - In the speed dating campaign to be the next premier of Ontario, six suiters are doing their best to seduce Liberal delegates.

Typically, the party would take six months to get to know its potential leaders — as the federal Liberals are now doing — but outgoing Premier Dalton McGuinty asked to shorten the campaign to give the winner the choice of bringing the prorogued Legislature back to a normal schedule.

It has been a whirlwind romance since McGuinty pulled the plug on his career in October with first seven, and now six, ardent Liberals vying for attention.

They’ve had a chance to woo voters with everything from their energy policies to views on the dispute with teachers.

But how well do people really know them?

Take a good look — one will be Premier of Ontario next week.
