Suzuki says no to Sun News... again
Sun reporter upsets Saint Suzuki's followers

A Quebec college and the David Suzuki Foundation did not respond to a story by QMI Agency Monday that the biologist and celebrity environmentalist was paid $30,000 to speak to students at John Abbott College for an hour last October.

Apparently, requests for an all-female entourage to accompany Suzuki around campus were also made.

"Although the Dr. does not like to have bodyguards per se, he does not mind having a couple ladies (females) that would act as body guards in order that he may travel from one venue to another without being accosted too many times along the way," Mary Milburn, who works in the college's Dean's office, wrote in an email to colleague Jim Anderson. "Why females you ask? Well, he is male. No seriously, I believe it's his way of being discreet and less intimidating."
