Justin Trudeau rankles separatists

MONTREAL - Old wounds apparently die hard for the Parti Quebecois.

They don't have Pierre Trudeau to kick around anymore but can still launch personal insults at his son Justin.

Two PQ ministers lit into the Liberal leadership candidate for suggesting Tuesday that Quebec would need a two-thirds majority to separate from Canada.

Provincial intergovernmental affairs minister Alexandre Cloutier called Trudeau's comments at a McGill University speech "disrespectful" and "anti-democratic."

PQ minister Jean-Francois Lisee went even further Thursday evening with a blog entry entitled "Mr. 66%."

Referring to the "rantings of Trudeau Jr.," Lisee said the Montreal MP's comments demonstrated a "lack of interconnections between a number of his neurons," before sarcastically referring to Trudeau as "a great intellectual."

Trudeau dismissed the salvos Friday at an appearance east of Montreal.
