TORONTO - If there is a “police probe” on Mayor Rob Ford or any of his associates as a media report suggests, it’s news to his brother.
Toronto Police are remaining tight-lipped following a Toronto Star story claiming they are investigating attempts by Mayor Rob Ford’s associates to get ahold of the alleged videotape said to show the mayor smoking crack cocaine.
Alexander “Sandro” Lisi, 35, an occasional driver and security guard for the mayor, visited drug dealers inquiring about the whereabouts of the people who created the alleged tape, according to the newspaper’s story. The report also claimed the mayor’s logistics director, David Price, was making phone calls about the purported tape.
“I don’t know of any (probe),” Councillor Doug Ford told the Toronto Sun Saturday. “There isn’t, as far as I know.”
