Chris Hadfield on 'building a spaceship'
Last month, we posed this question to Sun Media readers: What would you ask an astronaut? Turns out, our readers wanted to know a lot about space.
More than 400 people posted questions for Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield through our websites, by e-mail or via Twitter. Readers wanted to know about everything from whether the social media superstar, who routinely shares photos from space through his Twitter account @Cmdr_Hadfield, believes in aliens to how he grooms his signature mustache.
Sun Media editors narrowed the field of questions to 12, which were sent to the Canadian Space Agency for review. Hadfield, who is on a five-month mission on the International Space Station, has answered three questions via video. We’ll be running one video response per day between March 6 and 8.
Here is the third question and Hadfield’s video response:
3. Greetings Astronaut Chris Hadfield: Thank you for representing Canadian nation, its spirit and enthusiasm in space station and space exploration. Here is the question that I have for you. If a new space station / space ship to be build in some future, what are the 5 main features/functions/capabilities you would like to have added or improved in new design? Happy floating in space and lots of stars. Regards, Adam Szewczyk, Georgetown, Ontario
